I woke my son up this morning and he sat on the edge of his bed, frowning with a deeply furrowed brow. There was nothing particularly wrong. This is how he wakes up every morning. I find it best for everyone’s sanity, to just start talking about something tangentially in order to distract him from his mood and ease him into his morning. Otherwise, there is a great deal of yelling, whining and it all eventually ends in tears. (read spanking.)
Me: Hey, your 100 day project is coming up!
Morgan: What’s that?
Me: We have to make a project of 100 things for you to bring to class for the 100th day of school.
Morgan: Meh.
Me: I was thinking we could make a shadow box and glue 100 marbles into it.
Morgan: Meh.
Me: Or we could do something with 100 q-tips.
Morgan: Meh.
Me: 100 dryer sheets of Bounce® with Febreeze™ Fresh Scent?
Morgan: Meh.
Me: Maybe…
Morgan: Meh.
Me: We…
Morgan: Meh.
Me: Could…
Morgan: Meh.
Me: Find…
Morgan: Meh.
Me: …
Morgan: Meh.
My sons’ a jerk in the morning.

Be thankful that he’s just a jerk in the morning. Heck, if I don’t get my morning cup o joe, you got a full fledged jerk ALL DAY!
Clearly your morning cup-o-joe is not working Nayson.
Maybe you should switch to something stronger.
Heroin perhaps?
Awww. How old is he, before I comment on the cuteness of the story? Age 8? Adorable? Age 17, not so much…..
LMAO @ “Heroin”.
lol, definitely cute very reminiscent of my own childhood mornings…
also lol @ “heroin”
maybe you can tape 100 “Meh’s” and send that to school. 100 things– That is still 1 big waste of time. I’m on your son’s side.
I thought I ASKED you politely, (very politely) not to discuss my very intelligent grandson in a (let’s say) “negative light”. He is going to grow up and be much bigger than you and I wouldn’t want my eldest son to have any broken bones at an old age. Besides, he always smiles and giggles when I wake him up. Try kissie faces. That used to work for you.
