With the notable exception of Michael Jordan, most talented people are lazy. If their work ethic matched their level of talent, well… they’d probably be like Mike.

I think there’s a circular kind of dynamic that exists. People who aren’t as talented know their limitations and therefore work harder while talented people realize they’re gifted so they chill in the cut and rely on their talent to carry them through most situations. 

For all of his talent and work ethic though, Jordan still got fired.
